Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog!
Who Am I?
I’m Becky, a Northern-lass who made the Big Move to London some years ago. Do I miss home (Liverpool!)? Absolutely – especially my friends and family. Do I love my life in London? ABSO-FREAKIN’-LUTELY!
I moved down to London 4 years ago for my career. I’m a senior manager of a large travel company (who shall remain nameless – you never know what your bosses might be able to access online!) and love my job, mostly because travel is a passion of mine, and who wouldn’t like checking out new and incredible destinations, hotels, restaurants, airlines etc?!
I’m nearing 30 now – big eek! – and have found my Other Half (not Better Half!) in Steve, a reluctant-traveler-turned-eager-jet-setter. I take full credit for this :o)
Other important people in my life include my nan (a Scouser who makes the best roast potatoes in the world and keeps her DVD switched on despite not knowing how to use it because the blue light is “pretty”), my 18-month old niece, Isla, who, quite incredibly, has started to pick out letters for words, proving she is, like her favourite auntie, a little genius, and, finally, my dog, Kara, a rescue dog who stalks me around the house and whose favourite meal is spag bol.
Obviously, I have other people I love (my parents and step-parents, brothers, sisters, step family etc), but these are my very special people – we all have ’em! :o)
All About My Blog
Moving to London was a massive deal for me, but it’s probably one of the best decisions I’ve made (that and to go on a first date with Steve).
Now I’ve been here a while, I feel I have a pretty good idea about what’s hot and what’s not in our capital; where to eat, what to see, how to get around, where to stay – you get the idea. And so, I have created this blog with the idea of sharing these insights with other, mostly people planning a visit (after all, I’m not trying to teach born and bred Londoners how to suck eggs!).
Because of the industry I work in, I feel I have quite a lot of knowledge on popular (and, indeed, more niche) cities and holiday destinations around the world, and so plan to put together a few useful articles on these places as well. Free insider info!
If you have any questions about anything I blog about, or if you want any advice on any particular destinations featured, or London, of course, please feel free to contact me. I won’t even charge you for my pearls of wisdom! ;o)
Thanks for visiting,
