Welcome to my travel blog!

I’m Becky, a Liverpool girl who made the Big Move to London some years ago. Do I miss home? Absolutely – especially my friends and family but moving to London has given me a new outlook and I haven’t looked back.

Moving to London

I moved down to London 4 years ago for my career. I’m a senior manager of a large travel company and love my job, mostly because travel is a passion of mine, and who wouldn’t like checking out new and incredible destinations, hotels, restaurants, airlines etc?!

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Starting a Travel Blog

Moving to London was a massive deal for me, but it’s probably one of the best decisions I’ve made (that and to go on a first date with Steve). When I first moved here I felt the urge to write about it and so I started this blog.

Now I’ve been here a while, I feel I have a pretty good idea about what’s hot and what’s not in our capital; where to eat, what to see, how to get around, where to stay – you get the idea. The blog has now grown into a place where I can share these insights with others, mostly people planning a visit London for the first time.

Because of the industry I work in, I feel I have quite a lot of knowledge on popular (and, indeed, more niche) cities and holiday destinations around the world, and so plan to put together a few useful articles on these places as well. Free insider info!

What I enjoy writing about

I cover many topics on my blog and anything that interests me has a chance of making it onto the site. That said, my main focus is to write about travelling, new experiences and life in London.

Life in London

I love writing reviews of tourist attractions in London, especially some of the lesser-known places. I also write about my experiences of London's many bars and restaurants.

Travels abroad

My biggest passion has to be travelling to new places around the world. I'm lucky in that my job allows me an insight into some fo the best places to visit even when finances are tight.

My Family

My friends and family play such a big part of my life, they inevitably appear in my posts. I love it when they visit London as I get a completely fresh opinion on places I take them.
