Australia is a country and continent located on the southern hemisphere. It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean. The country experiences a variety of climates depending on which part you are in. The north-east side has tropical rainforests, the centre consist of a dry desert, while mountain ranges are found on the east, south-east and south-west. Unlike the northern hemisphere, summer in Australia is experienced in January while winter is in July. During the summer, it can get very hot. When travelling to other countries, it can be a challenge to know what to pack for the trip.

What To Bring When Visiting Australia – A Londoners Guide
If you will be in Australia for a long time, it would be wise to pack items for the current season and leave out the rest. Other items can be bought when you arrive there to avoid having too much luggage. After getting some tips from the list below, write down the items you want to carry and check each item off the list when you pack it to avoid forgetting other items you may need.

  • Important Documents

Passport, Visa, driver’s license, credit cards, debit cards, some cash and a guidebook. These documents should be in your carry luggage so that you can easily access them when needed.

  • Clothing

If you are travelling during winter, carry some warm clothing but keep in mind that even in winter, Australia is nowhere near as cold as London. Check out these average temperatures – Bom. Some include a waterproof jacket, woollen sweaters or jumpers and heavy shoes. During the summer, very light clothing is recommended as it gets very hot. Sandals, shorts, wide sunhats, sunscreen, a bandana and sunglasses will be very helpful. Other general items you may require include a towel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, and a hair dryer. Carrying toiletries is optional since you can purchase them when you arrive.

  • Electronics

Electronics are definitely necessary for all. You can bring a tablet, smartphone, a camera, a travel adapter and any other electronic you may need during your stay.

There are a lot of outdoor activities to take part in while in Australia. You can carry items you require for any activities you plan to take part in while visiting Australia. Some of the available activities include:

  • Nature Trails

There are over 400 national parks you can visit to see wildlife. There are also beautiful mountains and forests you will enjoy viewing. You will require a good and strong pair of shoes for this.

  • Outback Journeys

There are numerous outback journeys which involve drives through Australia’s interior places, swimming in gorges, canoeing and flying over places such as Bungle Bungles and famous lakes. You can carry your swimming costume, skiing items and hiking items. If they take up too much space, budget to buy them when you arrive in the country.
