The famous Ye Olde Mitre Pub is located in London, UK. This pub has been open for 10 years and is known as one of the best bars in London to enjoy a great pint. “We’re delighted to be the Opening our doors again and we’re looking forward to welcoming you back. Please think of booking a table during the festive period to prevent disappointment.” The sign outside the door reads. “If you wish to book a table please come quick, we can’t guarantee your table will be available.”

Many of the pubs in London now have a happy hour special with discounted food and wine. The Ye Olde Mitre Pub is no exception. They offer a special “last drink” deal in which they will cut the price of your drink by half if you order an all round meal with glasses of wine and a bottle of cask ale. A “merci” is added to the bottom of each glass as a token of their appreciation. There is also a cheese plate that is offered when you order your meal.

The name comes from a historical reference where it was said that George Mitre, a brewer in London, once asked passersby to tell him his name. If they could not, he would then call them by their middle name, hence the name, “ye olde muter”. If anyone could guess the correct middle name, he would give them a penny and promise to give them their choice of a drink after his next visit.

To get to the Ye Olde Mitre Pub one must walk along the famous King Street – one of the busiest streets in London. One of the more historic areas in London, King Street is lined with a variety of historical pubs. The Ye Olde Mitre Pub is located on this very same street, so it is easy to see why it has become such a well-known watering hole. Many people also frequent this pub because of its laid-back atmosphere and great prices.

To get to the Ye Olde Mitre you need to use the public transportation – the DLR or the Cross City Line. It is a fairly safe ride but be mindful of pickpockets. There is a minicab park right next to the pub, where you can hire a taxi for the duration of your trip. There is no parking fee with this service and if you prefer not to use the minicab park you can simply park outside the pub and walk down the street – the pubs are fairly small and conveniently placed for easy access.

If you are looking for a more romantic experience, then head over to the Rosefield Pub which has a beautiful view of Hyde Park. Its location makes it ideal for groups planning a picnic. If you have just been to the Ye Olde Mitre with a few friends or loved ones, then you may want to visit Rosefield Pub and enjoy a lovely evening together. Rosefield Pub is only one of a handful of historic pubs in London that still have their original opening hours. This means that you can still come back to this London pub after all these years to enjoy an intimate dinner or cocktail with your old friends.

If you are looking for a touristy area to hang out at, then you should head over to Walthamstow. Also known as “the capital of the east,” Walthamstow is a vibrant central area full of history. It is home to a wide variety of attractions such as the National History Museum, the National Gallery, and a famous pier. Its boozer reputation dates back to when it was the capital of the English Poor in the 18th century. If you go on a Sunday, you will find a number of legendary pubs such as the Old Vic and The Duke of York’s. Even though it is one of the most booziest places in London, it is also home to some amazing art museums and a great range of independent stores.

For something even more secluded and private, you can visit the Ye Olde Mitre in Clapham. Just steps from the busy pedestrianised pedestrian lane known as the Alleyway, this narrow pub is tucked away in a residential area known as Clapham Common. While its tiny interior barely resembles a real pub, you will be hard-pressed to find a cozy corner in this trendy area so perfect for enjoying a quiet evening with your loved one.
