It’s the home of the Brockley Market, an amazing institution that brings together people from all over London for delicious and tasty treats. While we are there, be sure to take in the beautiful Clapham Common Church, and if you are feeling particularly adventurous, try the new Clapham Common underground station. We love to spend time shopping in our neighborhood, and we especially love to hit up one of our favorite places: the British Museum. Even though we love to shop, we don’t actually shop at the heart of the museum: instead, we head to the street food stalls and coffee shops that line Bloomsbury High Street. The British Museum is also home to other spectacular attractions like the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. The crowds in Central London can get to be a bit annoying at times, but once you are out in Bloomsbury, you can breathe deeply and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Another great place to go is the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. If you love the word “chesy” and the idea of old England, then Kensington and Chelsea are definitely for you. The Ritzy Hotel is always a nice stop, as is Shakespeare’s Theatre and the British Museum.
Finally, we have our final destination, which is York, which is the cultural hub of England. It is home to the British Museum, which hosts a number of famous attractions including Shakespeare’s Globe theatre and the Buckingham Palace. Along with these museums, York is home to the popular York Minster. It is also where you can go to see the famous royal engagements, and if you are lucky enough to go on a royal tour, you will definitely want to make it to York.
