Bayswater is a lovely part of central London that has a range of shopping destinations dotted all around the area. Tourists will be very excited by the variety of stores available to them and they must definitely take some time at each retail hub in the area. Thousands of people head to Whiteleys shopping centre every day for its range of stores, eateries and excellent multi-screen cinema. It provides a full day out for tourists and is especially good for families who want to keep young children entertained. This popular centre is on the site that used to have the capital’s first department store, which was opened by William Whitely in 1867.

There are many high street shops here now as well as a variety of restaurants that caters to all tastes and desires. Travellers will like heading to the quintessentially English department of Marks and Spencer, as well as clothing favourites of H&M and Gap. There are many cafes including Costa Coffee and Starbucks that are great for relaxing in as a break from shopping. The Odeon Cinema is one of the best the company has to offer members of the public as it serves tasty food and drink with the film. There is also Adidas, Boots, Forever 21 and Topshop for travellers to head to when in this area. Round the other side of Hyde Park is the superb Knightsbridge are that has many designer shops and unique boutiques. There are the excellent department stores of Harrods and Harvey Nichols to visit.

Near Bayswater there is also the huge shopping centre of Westfield London that has a massive amount of shops with everything a person could need. Tourists might want to head to a different location and visit the nearby Notting Hill area. This part of London offers the fantastic Portobello Road Market that has a range of special products. It is a very vibrant part of the city and tourists will be able to find plenty of souvenirs and gifts. There are stalls and shops with vintage clothes, antiques and books. Staying in Bayswater in London is a great idea as there are plenty of shopping spots nearby for travellers to enjoy some retail therapy.
